The Art and Craft of Coffee (In book)

$24.99

An Enthusiast’s Guide to Selecting, Roasting, and Brewing Exquisite Coffee.

The book by the producer of the series Mission Coffee Can and consumer coffee expert Kevin Sinnott. While there is a plethora of books on the history and economy of coffee, there are surprisingly few about enjoying coffee. With 200 color photos and friendly text, this highly readable and accessible coffee guide is divided into two sections, covering the beans and the brew. In addition to providing a general knowledge of coffee, Sinnott (curator, www.coffeecompanion.com) strives to give readers tools to prepare world-class coffee at home. Along with selecting, roasting, grinding, and brewing coffee, he discusses serving coffee-correct temperatures, using sugar and milk, and the equipment needed. Troubleshooting tips, charts, step-by-step instructions, and a variety of recipes add to the book’s usefulness and value.

Coffee

This playful, medium bodied coffee tantalizes and dances across the tongue. The subtle taste of cocoa intertwines with juicy notes creating an energizing experience that brightens any day.  This coffee was grown in San Lucas Toliman in the Highlands of Guatemala by Indigenous Maya small plot farmers.  The farmers receive approximately double the compensation for their coffee than they could receive on the open market.

Try it with brownies or chocolate chip cookies!

Burlap Bags

As an alternative to disposing the coffee bags in landfills, our team works with a local entrepreneur to make them into trendy tote bag. It’s Our Earth works with coffee roasters across the country to reclaim the discarded burlap sacks and then our Artisans and Crafters transform them into fashionable and sturdy products. This reversible bag is lined with material that came from the ends of rolls used in manufacturing, making this the ideal recycled product.
